• Orgel reformierte Kirche Windisch

    Reformed church

    Windisch (CH)

In 1966, at the height of the Neo-Baroque movement, a high-quality, melodious organ was built.

The organ builders Joseph Neidhardt and Georges Lôthe managed to fit 28 stops into the smallest possible space. Just like the church, the organ has a ‘medieval touch’ to its aesthetic, with copper pipes, motifs (gilding on the pipes) and various details of the case.
We conducted an overhaul, cleaning and mould treatment to bring the instrument into good technical condition. The sound was slightly altered, so that more fundamental and fewer sharp and nasal sounds are heard. A 16' Trombone in the North German style was installed in the pedal, replacing a thin-sounding Bassoon.
